A 3-Week Virtual Journey Inviting us into the frequency of the EARTH— raw, primal, fertile, unabashedly expressive, bold, subtle yet strong.
From this place we write. we speak. we sing. we dance. we play & we pray.
When we’re intimately connected to the cycles and rhythms of the earth and of our animal body, our creative channel EFFORTLESSLY (naturally) opens.
When we’re listening to the plants sing, we sing.
When we hear the cry of humanity’s pain, we too cry.
When our hands tend the fertile soil beneath us, we too feel fertile, juicy, and creative.
And when we let ourselves feel the primal deeply, let it shake us back to the core of why we came here, it’s only natural that ART will be born.
For as long as humans have existed, we have been creative beings.
1. Tapping the primal

2. Let the Muse Move you
what are your feelings TELLING you? What wants to be said? What STORY do you want to speak? Let it come up out and THROUGH the body.
Now that we’ve tapped our PRIMAL, it’s time to CREATE from fertile ground.
The intention is for us to write and express from our BODIES, from the part of us that expresss unabashedly, without shame, etc. freely and to be witnessed, held, and celebrated in our PRIMAL expression

Often our deepest fear and most poignant desire all wrapped into one.
It’s a massively courageous and edgy thing to share the truth / raw expression of our voice in this world. It’s uncomfortable. It can be scary. It can make people feel and say things that aren’t always kind. AND when we reach a certain point of eij brewing and bubbling up ~ and when out internal realms have reached their boiling point and we KNOW it, it’s a disservice to ourselves and the world to not speak it sing it dance it pray it on forward.
And when we CHOOSE to create from this place of inner knowing, from our soul’s unique essence, even if we don’t know what it is we want to say, even if our creations don’t fit the mainstream eye, even (and esp.) if we look and feel and sound like nothing we have ever heard or seen before, those who need our art will answer. Those listening to the pulse of the earth and the rhythm of the river will resonate. The deeper we dive and brighter we shine, the more we give voice to our soul’d inner workings, the more free we feel and the more we draw in the ones who are meant to connect to our ART.
(Being Witnessed, seen, and HELD by the group. This is a time to confront the discomfort… for many of us being SEEN is simultaneously our greatest fear AND our deepest desire.)
Primal Poetix is not just a course on Poetry– it is a journey of embodiment, prayer, profound self love, liberation, tending the soil of the muse, and living life as a creative act. (Living life as art).
May all that is learned, remembered, expressed, experienced, witnessed, and received along the path of this journey act as a stone tossed into the pond of your inner artist, rippling outward into the pool your life, your family’s life, your community, and beyond.
