When we’re intimately connected to the cycles and rhythms of the Earth and of our animal body,
our creative channel
EFFORTLESSLY opens.
When we’re listening to the plants sing, we sing.
When we hear the cry of humanity’s pain, we cry.
When our hands tend the fertile soil beneath us, we too feel fertile, juicy, and creative.
And when we let ourselves feel the primal deeply—
let it shake us back to the core of why we came here—
it’s only natural that ART will be born.
For as long as humans have existed, we have been creative beings.
Week 1: The Well of Grief within the Artist Uncaging
This is a week of remembrance. We return to the heartbeat of our human lifeforce within. We shed our thoughts of what poetry is and isn’t. Full permission to feel the rage of being caged, the longing to express our artistic nature, and the profound grief that comes with living in a culture that shuts down the intuitive impulse of the muse. The separation from the muse is a separation from our true selves and therefore from source itself. As we weep with the well of grief, we tend the little inner child who’s artistry and intuitive wisdom may not have been fully nurtured, thus awakening the POWERFUL fully grown ARTIST you now get to be.
Week 2: Awakening the Ancestors
What are the ancestors in your bloodline and the ancestors of the land on which you reside channelling THROUGH you? This week we call in our ancestors as guides and pillars of support on our journey of being radical creators in these times.
Week 3: Restoring The Creative Child
One of the biggest blockages to the effortless flow of our creativity is the inner critic, editor, judge, and perfectionist that pops up to tell us to STOP creating! As children, we naturally create, play, and express~ over time, these impulses are socialized out of us. This week we return to the child within to honor and hold their wounds and invite out the playful, creative, poet that has always been a part of you. We kiss, love, laugh with and hold them back to WHOLENESS.
Week 4: Collective Roar 🐺 Poetry for the World Soul
The world aches and we feel it. For what do you scream, howl, cry, and get still for? This week we explore the response-ability of choosing ART in these times of The Great Turning and write poetry from a connection to the world soul and heartbeat.
Week 5:
Mess Meets Mastery
This is the week to invite IN our inner editor. The week to honor the one that knows its potential to transmit a specific frequency and clear prayer through the power of word. We refine the raw to aim the arrow of our poetic prowess out into the world. We’ll talk tools, tips, and tricks for becoming the writers we came here to be.
Week 6:
I am a POET Reborn
What are you here to birth? This week we set intentions for our next season and cycle of life and let let our inner POET be heard and seen by the group body. This is a time to confront the discomfort around being witnessed because, for many of us, being seen, felt, truly heard, and honord is simultaneously our deepest fear and most poignant desire.
It’s a massively courageous and edgy thing to share the raw expression of our voice in this world. It’s uncomfortable. It can be scary. It can make people feel and say things that aren’t always kind. AND when out internal realms have reached their boiling point and we KNOW it, it’s a disservice to ourselves and the world to not speak it sing it dance it pray it on forward.
And when we CHOOSE to create from this place of inner knowing, from our soul’s unique essence, even if we don’t know what it is we want to say, even if our creations don’t fit the mainstream eye, even (and esp.) if we look and feel and sound like nothing we have ever heard or seen before, those who need our art will answer. Those listening to the pulse of the earth and the rhythm of the river will resonate. The deeper we dive and brighter we shine, the more we give voice to our soul’s inner workings, the more free we feel and the more we draw in the ones who are meant to connect to our ART.
